Rewiring.
23 05 2010Yesterday it rained the whole morning. Beginning from the night time like around 3am. It was such nice weather that morning. Very cool.
Other than that, I don’t really have much to say except that this coming week is gonna be one killer one. Slide show for Physics oral presentation needs to be finalized and submitted. Which is kinda stupid because it was unnecessary for any progress report to be submitted for Chemistry case study last semester. I liked that presentation. One of the few things in that semester I felt like I could be proud of. Haih. There’s also the ‘salvation’ paper for Physics on the 27th, I shall not screw that up. There’s a few Programming lab sheets needed to be done. Another thing about Physics, is the lab report of the last lab session. Where’s my data? T_T
I have to rewire my brain. I need to tell myself I need to start working. This kind of habit is in no way any good for me. I’ve relaxed too much. Need to tighten that sphincter and get to work!
Oh, I wanna show this..

CONTACT LENSES!?
13 05 2010
Yeah. So, my friend Summer actually has a business of selling contact lenses. I’m not here to promote that because clearly, they are not for the non-Oriental (Chinese, Korean, Japanese) market. Well, I’m mostly talking about the Malays, but I doubt Ibans or the like would look good in these either. They’re coloured contact lenses. But they increase the size of the iris making eyes look bigger.
Honestly, I frighten myself looking in the mirror while wearing these. They are way too freaky. I look like a dead pixie wearing those things. Summer, I am never buying contact lenses from you ever again. Haih.

Laundry.
11 05 2010No, KL-ites, not the bar. Today I wanted to do laundry. I had time when I came back around 10am from class this morning. Then it rained. I haven’t started yet. So, at around 1pm, I went back to class. Apparently, without a proper projector, Mr. Elayarajah can’t finish his lecture. So we finished early, around 2.30 when the lecture started at 1.30. Supposedly, the class finished at 3.30.
So I came back at around 2.50 and decided to have some late lunch. After I was done, I went back and threw everything in the machine. Here’s what happened. I looked out of the laundry house, there was no one. I wanted to throw the shirt I was wearing in the laundry. So I did. I went out, there I saw Mahirah waving at me from the other end of the street. I waved back, with my magnificent man-boobs out in the open. Sweet. -.-
Now I’m waiting for my laundry to be done. It should be done now. So I’m gonna check. La’er.

Dynamos power the bicycle.
10 05 2010It’s monday again. Now I know how Garfield feels. I zipped through Programming this morning with a little help from Manfrate. Smart kid. One of the good kinds of smart.
Too bad he had to leave for a medical checkup at Miri General. After Programming, we have Physics tutorial. Kinda complicated, but it seems manageable. We all found out our internal marks seeing that there won’t be anymore progress sheets. Just left is the finals, totaling up that lab marks and the oral presentation. OOH! I so have to do a post about my ideas.
After the presentation. xD
So, after the tutorial, there was time before Engineering Mathematics. I decided to have a short meeting with my Physics lab group. Deciding to do something special for the presentation. After a small lunch, there was E. Maths. So we moved. Integration as Anti-Derivatives. Derivatives is Differentiation. Integration is the opposite of Differentiation. Essentially, Integration is Anti-Derivatives. What else could it be? This is a more advanced form of Integration than what I studied in secondary. Of course it is. Although, it’s still Integration.
Then we did something true to our nature as the least academically-adept class in Foundation Sem 2, a bunch of us skipped Physics lecture.
Seriously, my parents had to pay RM6k a semester for me to get an international education, and I’m stuck in Physics with this transfer lecturer from UiTM. I abstained myself from going to a government college because of my weakness in understanding science topics in Bahasa Melayu, and here we have this woman who goes way too fast, hardly understandable and puts an S in front of almost every word. Gosh, Australian education, my foot. -.-
So now, I’m home doing this blog post. Later I shall open up some E. Maths and prepare for tomorrow’s Chemistry lab experiment.
I’ll rant about something else other than my education next time. For now, that’s all.

Teetering.
7 05 2010Drove off it. Stopped halfway. Now I’m teetering on the cliff between failure and mediocrity.
Today I had half a mind not to go for Chemistry tutorial because I wanted to spend the morning doing my Islamic Studies assignments and try to study a bit of E. Maths. After finishing the assignments, I decided to just go for tutorials. Luckily I went because I found out my Chemistry mid term results. As good as I would’ve hoped for with my level of study. Not gonna write it here though.
After Friday prayers, which I was really sleepy on the bus ride there, I had a big lunch, then headed over to Islamic Studies lecture where I submitted my assignments. Such relief. During the lecture, I was partly drawing up a design for my KAP rig. I notice one design had been better than the last. So, if I just keep drawing, I might just have my final design. Probably eventually with proper measurements. Haha.
I love photography. Really wished I had a professional level camera to play with, but it’s just way too costly now. Panasonic GF series is perfect for KAPing. Hope I get it within the next 3 years.
Again, I was browsing through my LUMIX album and found a picture I thought was pretty cool. I found one picture, of a couple of strangers in a sunset.
Trust me, they’re total strangers. Haha.
Guess that’s my quota for today. My internet’s getting weak. Pray I get to post this. Gonna get to studying now. Bye Bye.

Driving off a cliff.
6 05 2010That’s what it feels like when I’m approaching the day of E. Maths mid term this Saturday. I haven’t studied anything because I’m hung up with Islamic Studies assignments and also the ECS assignment. Tonight I shall get all that out of the way in time to study for E. Maths. Not expecting to get everything into my head but as long as I have something, that’s fine. Just as long as I at least get half of that score. This isn’t the way I’m supposed to live. I’m supposed to catch up. It’s already week 8 and my finals are in week 15, I think. Anyway, there’s 6 chapters. Hoping I could get 4 in my head before the exam.
Just take it slow, I slept all evening just now, so I don’t mind staying up. Which I kinda did the night before… doing my ECS work and i was continually dozing off in Chem lecture the next day. Luckily I managed to get something out of it. Sorry Mr. Foad for missing lecture this week. I have good reason. Ehem.
Anyways, tomorrow there’s Chemistry tutorial (might skip
) and Islamic Studies lecture. Wish tomorrow was a holiday cos I seriously need time here
. I guess I should take it slowly, one at a time. That’s always what i do, but I end up still not having enough time. I should just take the ‘slowly’ out of the equation, and see how well that goes.
For your viewing pleasure, here’s probably a picture you’ve never seen before…

Established.
6 05 2010Wow. When was the last time I was here. Could’ve sworn I saw cobwebs on the screen.
I guess the reason for that is that I don’t have a proper internet connection. My mobile broadband didn’t really work in my room before this. Why? Because I’m in the bathwater of Malaysia called Desa Senadin, Miri. Police hardly ever hang out around here so crime rate is the highest in Miri. So I try not to stay outside too long with my laptop. I keep it in my room. Locked. Recently I went home for a week long break. Took the opportunity to find a 5m long USB extension cable. Why? Simple. The broadband had it’s best signal in my room when I was close to the window. But my bed is next the window. So why don’t I just use the laptop when I’m on the bed? Because I hate moving my stuff around and I sleep on that bed. Can’t really do that with a heated piece of metal and plastic next to me. Yes, I leave my laptop on for the majority of my time here.
Well, anyway, there’s the broadband with it’s new home. I have to admit, this is probably the most conservative thing I’ve ever done to fix something I didn’t like. Haha. That picture was taken around the same time this post was typed, which is like 5.30am now. So forgive me if you see ‘something’ in the background.
Point is, I can blog steadily now that my internet connection has been stabilized.
Dumb thing I did, I used 3.5Gb out of the 5Gb data allowance this month downloading albums I regretted downloading (Justin Bieber, NeYo, Zee Avi =.=) and also the new episodes of House Season 6. So I better be careful with what I surf. No more Youtube this month. Haha.
