Machines of Malice.

Name of a show that I saw the other day on History Channel.

Ironically, I’m not here to talk about that.

Notice how people nowadays just simply can’t live without technology? My dad has all his reminders on his phone. My mom uses hers as a voice recorder when she’s reading the Quran. My brother uses a HTC TyTN II and my sister has her E71 which doubles as a GPS navigator and e-mail inbox. Personally, my tech includes my CQ40 (laptop) and my Sony Ericsson W595. I keep thinking whether I should up my standards on the phone part. I bought this phone simply cos of the music features. I’m a huge fan of the SE Walkman series. Now, I have daily plans I need to keep up with. My class schedules, exercise, proper meal times.

I was researching all over the net for an entry-level phone that has an organizer feature good enough for a CEO. Made me look at HTC, in which the cheapest is probably 1K.

I know I’m looking very stingy right now for saying that 1K is too much for a phone, but it’ll be my 12th phone in 7 years. Tech just explodes on me for some reason. My W595 just recently had a repair job on it’s coverage. I’m just being really paranoid about how my next phone would survive.

My dream phone lies in a HTC Hero right now. Too bad it’s well over 3K.

Technology isn’t perfect. Nothing can be the perfect.

NOT EVEN THE iPHONE.

So there’s not really a perfect solution for me in the tech department. I’ll just go to the bookstore and buy a really nice diary to keep my schedule. LOL.

Energy?

Okay, I haven’t been blogging in a while. I don’t do a post unless I have something I wanna tell a lot of people. Which the parts about my personal life are just things thrown in for the heck of putting up a post.

What I wanna talk about today is the various anime I watched all this while. So far it’s Naruto, Gurren Lagann, and Bleach. Know what I noticed about all of them? They all have this inner power that measures how well they perform in battle. In Naruto it’s Chakra, Gurren Lagann is Spiral Power, and Bleach is Spiritual Energy. According to the storylines, everyone in the world has this inner energy. It’s how they manifest the energy that makes them powerful.

Kinda makes me wonder if there’s actually a science to all this. The one that makes most sense to me is Naruto’s. Chakra and Chakra points has been used by acupuncturists and I suppose that SOME of the moves in Naruto is actually possible. Like focusing Chakra into a single point in your fist so your punches can be harder. Although, scientifically, it’s obvious that creating clones of yourself using this method is impossible.

Don’t know.

Don’t know why I don’t blog anymore. I know that statement is ironic, but honestly, I don’t itch to do a blog post anymore. I kinda wish I did, at least I could keep track of what I do. And not just waste the day away.

Maybe I just have so much to write about up to the point that I KNOW that if I start a post, I most probably won’t be able to finish it. Up to date, there’s 5 items in my drafts I haven’t finished, and I bet not that many people are curious to know what’s in it.

Oh well, the end.

6 Items.

There are 6 items in my drafts. Some are completely blank and  some are like 4 paragraphs long but still incomplete. I’m a guy who gets frustrated when I leave something unfinished, so that drafts list is pretty annoying to me. Thing is, the items in the drafts involve special events. Like my trip to Melbourne. And that was like, more than half a year ago. It would really seem to late to post it now.

I don’t know if I should just quit blogging or  keep it and type whenever I’m free. Although, I might end up doing something totally different if I’m free. Like watching all the anime I downloaded (Law Of Ueki, Gatekeepers, Naruto Se.01, Bleach, Groove Rave Adventure). Yeah, I have a lot and half of which I haven’t watched it yet. I watched on TV, but not here.

Thing about Naruto, I can see why so many people like it, but I don’t think I’ll like it enough to cosplay as one of their major characters. I considered cosplaying as one of the ANBU black ops, but I was short on gear (I made and painted the mask out of newspaper and wood glue, but didn’t have the clothing). The mask project was fun though. Didn’t turn out as good as I thought, but after the Comic Fiesta, I wrecked the mask and used it as a base for my next potential mask.

I don’t know what it is about cosplaying for me. I always try to consider playing as a guy with a  mask (It’s not like I’ve been cosplaying at all before last month). I try to consider wearing a mask because my face can never adapt to any of these Japanese-born characters. Except maybe Auron from Final Fantasy X cos he has slightly dark skin and wears round shades, and I know I’ll have fun making the sword. My mom’ll probably have a hard time sewing the costume for me. If I showed her the picture of the guy, she’ll definitely laugh, and I don’t know how to describe his outfit. Could it be a Kimono for a guy?

Although, my plan for the next cosplay event would probably either try my ANBU outfit again, or make an Alphonse Elric armor. I’m planning to make it like when I take off my helmet, my head won’t be there, cause Alphonse is an armor without a body. Nadira wanted me to cosplay as a character from God(?) Save Our King, but I don’t watch that anime, so I don’t wanna be a hypocrite and pretend to like it. I don’t really obsess over Naruto, but I thought the ANBU outfit was cool.

Anyways, I think I went off topic. Wow, I think I just did a full post. O_o Guess I won’t quit blogging after all.

11am and I still haven’t had breakfast, GEEZ. -_-

New Trend in The Making.

Today I shall put up a new picture, a new tag, a new category and a totally new and different topic than what I would do normally. A fashion statement coming from a fad that I never new I’d get into.

Naruto.

Well, I’m not totally all over it. I’m DOWNLOADING the series and I’m skipping the boring fillers. Pretty challenging since they really slit bits of the action in between the fillers.

Anyway, this started when a friend of mine (Nadira the piano-playing artist) wanted me to order a pair of ninja shoes online. I told her I don’t order things online so she cancelled the plan. I thought; “those shoes seemed simple enough, maybe I can make a pair”. I went to work, pretty much it’s hard. Nadira managed to get her mom to order them online for themselves so I was out of her plan, but I continued to try to make the shoes. I gave up because I saw a pair of the shoes at an anime shop on the lower ground floor of Cineleisure Damansara, next to the bookshop. I texted Nadira. She was ecstatic…

I told her I’ll just buy them for her (she’s paying me back, with interest >:D) and I also bought a pair for myself. Simply for one reason, they were REALLY comfortable. Literally, they were like socks that you can walk around outside with. The opening at the front makes them breezy.

There’s just one problem though, Since there’s no actual shape to it like a normal shoe, and it’s not really elastic like socks. So it kinda sags a bit when you walk. I found the solution to that, and its pretty simple; string.

Shoelace, drawstring, even some yarn, just wrap around the calf and do a simple knot and tuck the ends under the wraps. These strings are dark blue but I plan to get black strings to go with these if i plan to go out with them. The shoes cost RM39.90 and comes in sizes 39 till 43. These were the biggest size and I wear a size 9 or 10 shoe. Anyways, I can’t wait try climbing a tree with these babies :D .

P.S. Please ignore the hairy legs.

I can’t sleep.

Here I am. At 2am in the morning of the day my exam results will be out. I don’t know if I should be freaked out or I should just be calm. Personally, I don’t really know what I’m feeling now. I’m not pacing back and forth, which means I’m not freaking out, and I’m not sleeping, which means something’s bothering me.

Or maybe it’s cos I stayed up till now just finished watching He’s Just Not That Into You. Yes, I’m a heterosexual man who likes watching romance movies and romantic comedies. Who the heck made me like those, another I don’t know. Truth is, I didn’t find Twilight all that corny. I love a good love story, but thing is, I don’t like how the Twilight saga has so much depression in it. Like it’s actively trying to show how much pain Bella feels in the absence of Edward or Jacob. Maybe it’s because it’s a high-stakes romance. Like, she’s in a romance with a vampire and a werewolf and at the same time, she has to keep their identities a secret. That’s another thing. Why does she fall for the monsters? Can’t a girl just go for normal basic guys. What I can understand the dislike by some men of this movie is because it sets the bar too high for them. That women would prefer a guy who’s a cold-skinned bloodsucker. Like it rough, huh?

In New Moon, there’s sort of a ‘royalty’ in the vampire world. A voluter or something like that. Then I wonder if there’s a standard to vampires. Like how does the really low class, I mean in the same league as Mat Rempits, would seem like?

Yes, I see Mat Rempits as really low class. For those MRs who happened to have internet access and stumbled upon my blog, I honestly think that MRs are just waste products of the country and should either be treated accordingly or disposed of properly.

Anyways, I started imagining criminal vampires robbing a blood bank gangsta style. So that’s why I brought this up. Ahha. xD

Well. I’m getting sleepy now I’ve got another idea to write about but I’ll do that next time.

NoteToSelf: Do a post about movie motives.

Monster.

Can a phone get viruses even when they don’t open any file?

Anyway, today my W595  decided to throw in the towel along with the other gajillion phones that ended up in the wasteland. This time, I decided to send it for repairs. See what’s the damage. It’s either with the antennae or the sim card slot. Either way, it needs some repair. Hopefully it’ll be perfect after that. :(

Anyways, yesterday I went out with Adrissa. She called me while I was still sleeping practically saying “LET’s GO OUT!”. Then I was like “Okay.” So I showered and went to pick her up. First time driving to Mid Valley. Was kinda frustrating how we got out from the place cos I thought I had to pay for the parking before getting into the car. When actually, we were supposed to pay upon exit. Genius, MV, genius :/.

Among the food we had there was Juice Works, Subway, Spaghetti Farm and Popeyes. Since she didn’t want to watch a movie, pretty much all we did was walk around and eat. Next time, we HAVE to watch a movie. Yeah.

NoteToSelf: A date isn’t complete without dinner and/or movie.

Okay. So I’m also having problems uploading pictures (-__-). So I guess I’ll just post it here.

Day of Pain.

Some preparations at One Utama A WHILE AGO.

Today my maids dragged me out to Giant to buy groceries. Yeah, I was driving, and they brought my niece and nephew with them. Once we got there, they ditched me to buy clothes and I was left with the shopping list -.-

Story of my life. Ahha.

When I got home, I ate lunch and took a nap. Woke up with a crazy headache. Took some panadols and went back to sleep. Woke up feeling better.

I started playing Fishville on Facebook since yesterday. I found 6 of my fish dead today and decided I need the Scooter Blenny fish cos they survive better. But dang, they’re ugly.

Anyways, plans for the week, not much seeing that LIKE MOST STUDENTS, i’m getting broke. There’s a plan to go rock-climbing which isn’t so sure when. Then probably there’s a movie plan thrown somewhere in there. Ahha.

Kite flying’s no fun without wind. :(

Once back home.

It’s been more than a week now I’ve been in KL. Few things have changed. I know it, just could hardly see it. I don’t really care I guess. I’m home, but I still feel the difference between being here and Miri. In KL, it’s city life. Bustling, fast, busy, and if you’re not part of it, you’ll either be bored to death if you don’t have to work, or you’ll be flat broke if you don’t GET to work. That’s how it is in the big city. Life can vary between simple and challenging. In Miri, it’s slower and more peaceful. Apart from the haze now and then from the burnt shrubs, can’t say there’s a lot of pollution at all. What I can tell is that people in Miri have a lot of character. They’re more open to people, just like how a village lifestyle would look like, but it’s still in a city with a cinema, shopping malls and restaurants.

What I kinda wish I could take from Miri were the friends I met there and the peace I could never find around here unless I’m in a library. Not to mention the Sundrop canned orange juice that they don’t have here in KL.

I’m trying to get into shape while I’m here since I haven’t had any time in Miri to work out. Eating right, swimming, going to the gym. That sort of stuff. Doing more constructive things too like reading. I just recently bought a book called the Art of Conversation. I think I’ll get a lot out of that. I’ve been trying to find time to go to my brother’s place at the right time to put a kite in the air. I bought a huge kite from Miri and I plan to fly it here. I also bought a 900 ft long kite string and a professional reel spool.

Here’s some pictures I got from Miri. Unedited of course.

Smiles look alike I suppose. Ahha.

Nadira’s favourite toy in the music room. :P

Nadira and Esther at Esplanade beach.

Never before seen picture of Albert Raighne Duncan. xD

Well. Anyway, this post has been in my draft for too long. Posted.

Hello old friend.

Hi there, WordPress.
How have you been? I’m sorry I haven’t been there for you in a long time. I know, I miss you too. It’s been a hectic time for me. Studying for my finals which just ended today. I’m sorry I haven’t been seeing you lately. I promise to make it up to you. Also, another reason why I haven’t been seeing you a lot is because my internet’s not working so well lately. What? I know I’ve been spending time with Facebook, but there’s nothing special going on there. Just some of my friends getting together to have a laugh sometimes. I still want to tell you everything, but I’m still not ready to do that yet. I promise, when I get back to KL, we’ll spend more time with each other. I’ll show you some nice pictures I took this semester. This time I promise. But now, I’m going to go now. Bye~ :)
